Following are web links to some of the places that we have visited throughout our stay in Australia, both in Melbourne and in Sydney.

Melbourne, Victoria
  • Mount Buller
    • Mt. Buller is the #1 choice for those looking to 'Live it up' in the snow this winter (Australian winter, that is!)  With 263 hectare skiable terrain, Mt. Buller has conditions to suit everyone from novices taking their first lessons to expert skiers and boarders.  With a comprehensive network of 25 lifts, Mt. Buller has the largest lifting capacity of any Victoria ski area.

  • ScienceWorks Museum
    • Pull it, push it, spin it, bang it. At ScienceWorks Museum, you can really get a grasp of science.  Through hands-on exhibits, live demonstrations, activities and shows, the whole family can have fun exploring the mysteries of science and technology.  It's a great value day out for curious minds and active bodies.

Michael was one of the lucky participants in the BASF Fun with Chemistry workshops held only on 4 Saturdays at ScienceWorks.  He actually conducted experiments using different chemicals.  He was given a certificate as a Junior Chemist.

  • Melbourne Planetarium
    • The first digital planetarium in the Southern Hemisphere, the Melbourne Planetarium is a mind-expanding universe.  Using some of the most stunning images of outer space ever shown together with awesome special effects, a planetarium show will take you to the stars and beyond while you recline in comfortable seats.

  • Royal Botanic Gardens
    • Renowned as one of the world's finest landscaped gardens, stroll among the Gardens' beautiful lawns and tranquil lakes.

  • Shrine of Remembrance
    • The Shrine of Remembrance is Victoria's memorial to the men and women who have served Australia in armed conflicts throughout our Nation's history.

The Shrine was originally opened to honour the 114,000 Victorians who served, and those who died, in the First World War.

  • Werribee Open Range Zoo
    • Werribee Open Range Zoo is an unforgettable wildlife safari experience.  View up close magnificent animals from the grasslands of Africa, Australia and Asia, like rhinos, hippos, giraffe, zebra, meerkats plus the newly-opened world class 'Lions on the Edge' experience.

  • The Mansion of Werribee Park
    • The Mansion at Werribee Park is one of Australia's grandest homes, which was built in the 1870's.  Learn about the original occupants of the 60-room mansion and their servants' tough lives, and explore ten hectares of exquisite formal gardens, a unique riverine area and historical farm outbuildings.  The visit is only complete with a visit to the 5,500 rose trees in the Victoria's State Rose Garden.

  • Melbourne Zoo
    • Melbourne Zoo is a visionary zoo that brings you over 350 species in exquisite, natural settings and the new unique experience 'The Trail of the Elephants'.

Follow a rainforest trail and discover the heart of the rural Asia.  Other highlights include African Rainforest, Australian Bush and the World of Bugs and Butterflies.

  • Puffing Billy
    • Australia's favourite steam train.
